Accommodations
In addition to everything one would expect at an elite resort - luxurious surroundings, light & airy atmosphere, soothing background music, cozy bedding, room-service and attentive housekeeping - our basic inclusions are beyond the expected!
Lodging options are available for both dogs and cats to make all our guests feel at home. We provide each pet with access to comfortable sleeping and elimination areas in our pleasant standard accommodations; or chose an upgrade to our luxury suites.
Luxury Suites (optional)
Our luxury suites, available with our premium activity package or for family pets staying together, provide additional space and elevated bedding and furniture. Doggy suites include flat screen TVs for movies or satellite TV viewing!
You can also choose quiet private condos and special accommodations for puppies toy breeds, seniors or special needs pets.
Cozy Bedding
We do everything in our power to make sure our guests are as content and comfortable as possible. Standard lodging offers our visitors plush lambs' wool bedding in their sleeping area. All bedding is freshly laundered each day.
For our guests who would like a little extra pampering Premium Beds are presented as an upgrade option or included in some of the activity packages we recommend. Premium Beds offer superior comfort and support. This popular option is a great choice for our visitors with tender joints and muscles or simply those of you wishing to treat your pet to a more luxurious stay.
We will allow your pet’s own bedding provided it can be laundered and is labeled with your pet’s name. However, we ask for your cooperation in limiting the amount of belongings you send with your pet to one favorite toy. While infrequent, please be aware these articles may become lost or damaged at times.
Extensive Comfort & Safety Measures
Our Resort facility features:
- double doors at every exit where pets are lodged to protect against unsupervised wandering
- overhead coverings to prevent climbing or unrequested visits
- security cameras, smoke and fire detection, lightning protection and back up generators for “piece of mind”
- impenetrable epoxy coated and sealed floors to enhance cleanliness and protect against microorganism infections
- interior stainless steel and smaller than usual exterior fencing openings coupled with solid panels up to 4 feet from the ground to augment “good neighbor” behavior
- state-of-the-art air handling units that exchange 100% fresh air several times an hour for freshness; and
- climate control to ensure complete comfort and health for all pets – including radiant heated indoor floors, and an outdoor misting system with ceiling fans to cool the outside temperature up to 20 degrees during the hot summer months
Do you have a Puppy, Senior or Special Needs Pet?
We have highly trained staff and veterinary technicians at the Maryland Shore Pet Resort and we understand that some of our guests may have special needs. We provide special packages designed to meet the individualized care and activity needs or specialized attention for very young puppies, seniors, and slightly more needy family members.
A veterinarian is on call 24 hours a day in case of emergency. If your pet should require medical attention while in our care our customary procedure is to contact your veterinarian. Should the nature of your pet's illness require an office visit we reserve the right to utilize our on-call veterinarian. Upon arrival we will ask you to provide your veterinarian's contact information.
Incredible Dining Options and Room Service
Catering options include standard fare or you may choose optional selections of specially prepared meals from our Best-Friend Bistro™ for an added charge. Our selections are planned for enjoyment and delicious variety. Each meal is individually prepared in one of our gourmet kitchens that meet the envy of many a chef. (Please ask to see the menu and let us know of any dietary restrictions during check-in.)
“HAPPY-tizers”
Each afternoon during “Yappy-hour” and “Meowy-hour”, all of our guests will receive a complimentary “happy-tizer” treat made at our “Pure Bred Bakery” to help wind down from all the fun and games that Maryland Shore Pet Resort has to offer. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions during check-in.
Additional selections from the Pure Bred Bakery are also available.
Standard Fare
All of our guests are fed premium Eukanuba or Purina food during their stay. The specific blends of Eukanuba and Purina have been chosen because they have high quality ingredients, are palatable and aid in digestion. Both dry and canned formulas are available.
You are also welcome to provide your pet's regular food if you choose (please pack in a sealed container). A small handling fee will be added for this option.
Meal Time
We feed early morning for those pets fed once a day and additionally in the late afternoon for those requesting twice a day meals. Arrangements can be made if your pet is on a specific feeding schedule or has special requirements. A small service charge may apply.
It is recommended you limit the amount of food you provide your pet on the day of admission due to the natural excitement your pet may experience upon arrival. Likewise, food and water should be limited for the first hour or two after you pet arrives home. This will allow your pet ample time to settle down before feeding.
